Dad Was Under The Influence of Mom
"My mom grew up by the beach in the 1960s. She claims she wasn’t really a hippie, she didn’t “drop out” or anything like that. But she definitely did her fair share of experimentation. Lots of smoking grass at coffee clubs and shows. Baking pot brownies with friends. And some pretty far out sounding “trips” up in the Bay Area. She met my Dad in 1970. He was a bit of a square, a good South African Jewish boy just out of Stanford Business School. She was the beautiful, creative and chilled-out Cali Beach girl he had always dreamed of. She turned him onto grass and definitely taught him a few other things about being groovy."
